RAWALPINDI: Two murder suspects wanted by Samanabad police were brought to Islamabad from Abu Dhabi after being arrested by Interpol on Friday.

According to police sources, Mohammad Ashraf and Mohammad Salahuddin, who belong to Dera Ghazi Khan, were on the wanted list of Samanabad police, Lahore. Both were involved in a murder case registered against them. However they left the country and settled in Abu Dhabi.

After the local police approached the Interpol for their arrest, the suspects were arrested from Abu Dhabi and brought to Islamabad amid tight security.

On reaching Benazir Bhutto International Airport (BBIA), the suspects were taken into custody by the Federal Investigation Agency’s immigration staff and later handed over to Lahore police officials who were present at the airport.
