Shah Rukh Khan certainly knows how to get our attention.

The king of Bollywood just hit 13 million followers on Twitter and celebrated by posting a video on the site featuring him, himself and his shirtless torso.

His message wasn't superficial though. He squeezed a lot into the short vid, talking about how the most important thing in the world is respecting women as individuals.

He said: "Do not abuse women, mothers, sisters and daughters just because they're not your own."

He added a quote: "Love each other, or perish."

Cheeky Khan closed the video by admitting: "Yes, I'm not wearing a shirt."

Khan's upcoming film with Mahira Khan, Raees, was trending on Twitter recently. Fans are keeping an eye on shooting with bated breath even though the film's release is a long way off. The lead-up to Raees must've gone a long way in bringing him up to 13 million followers on Twitter.

To compare: Fawad Khan has 102,000 followers on Twitter, Mahira Khan has 47,900. Across the border Amitabh Bachan has 14.7 million, Deepika Padukone has 10.4 million and Salman Khan has 11.9 million.

SRK turned to video tweets in late January when he told his fans that he'd often communicate with them through videos and said that it was "really cool".
