GUJRANWALA, Oct 1: A youth shot dead his aunt and her two children over a murder enmity on Wednesday in Pero Shahad Colony, Rahwali.

Saima (16) and Rifat (8) were asleep in their house along with their mother Safia Bibi when Kaifi came there along with his accomplices and opened fire on them. Consequently, Saima and Rifat died instantly while their mother sustained serious bullet injuries. She was rushed to the local DHQ Hospital where she died.

Cantonment police have registered a case and are investigating.

It is stated that accused’s father, Gulzar, was a drug pusher and used to supply narcotics in the same colony. While his cousin Zulfikar, the head of slain family members, informed police about his illegal activities around four years ago.

To take revenge, Gulzar kidnapped Saima who was later recovered. Zulfikar could not pocket his insult and along with his accomplices shot dead Nawab Din and Shanti, the parents of Gulzar, and two other family members Asif and Bushra Bibi.

Complainant Gulzar had a murder case registered against Zulfikar, his son Irfan and brother Abdul Ghaffar.

It is learnt that the murder case against Zulfikar and his son was being heard in a local court, while Abdul Ghaffar had been awarded death sentence about a year ago.
