New Prgmea chairman

KARACHI, Oct 1: Tahir Aziz has been elected unopposed chairman, (central) Pakistan Readymade Garments Manufacturers and Exporters Association (Prgmea) for 2003-04.

The annual general body meeting, held on Tuesday, elected Razzak H Paracha, Mohammad Naeem Suria, Jawed Chinoy and Bilal Mulla as members of central managing committee (CMC).

It also elected Mohammad Naeem Suria, Jawed Chinoy, Bilal Mulla, Razzak H. Paracha and Shahid Iqbal Khan as new members of zonal committee.

Razzak H Paracha has been elected unopposed chairman Prgmea (South Zone), Sindh-Balochistan zone for 2003-04.

MAP election: Mr. Adil A. Ghaffar of First Equity Modaraba and Mr. Ayaz Dawood of Guardian Modaraba have been elected chairman and vice chairman respectively of Modaraba Association of Pakistan.

According to a press release Mr. Wasim-ul-Haq Osmani of First Fidelity Leasing Modaraba; Mr. Mahmud Javed Parwaz of First Prudential Modaraba and Mr. Cyrus J. Massani of First Grindlays Modaraba have been elected new members of the executive committee.

Mr. Azam A. Sakrani of First Al-Noor Modaraba; Mr. Saeed Uddin Khan of First HBL Modaraba and Mr. Ghulam Husain Mughal of Al- Zamin Leasing Modaraba will continue for another year as members EC.

PCMA: Abid Chinoy and Naseem Ahmed have been elected chairman and vice chairman of the Pakistan Cloth Merchants’ Association (PCMA) for 2003-04.

For Sindh-Balochistan zone Asif Karim has been elected chairman and Rafiquallh Khan and M Arif Sonija elected as vice chairmen, says a press release.

PTA chairman: Mr S.M. Naseem was re-elected central chairman Pakistan Tanners Association (PTA) unopposed for the year 2003-04.

According to a press release Ahsen Elahi and Muhammad Musaddiq were elected vice-chairmen of the central committee and Sh Afzal Hussain, Agha Saiddain, Amanullah Aftab, Arshad Iqbal, Ashfaq Ahmed Ejaz Ahmed Shaikh, Mansoor Iqbal, Muhammad Faheem, Muhammad Ilyas, Muhammad Naeem Vohara, Muhammad Zaheer Sheikh, Tanweer Ahmed and Zahid Haleem were elected members of the executive committee.
