SWABI: Provincial general secretary of Jamiat Ulema-i-Islam-F, Maulana Shuja-ul-Mulk asked on Friday the people to select those candidates in the local government elections who could deliver.

Addressing party workers at Shewa union council here, he said those claiming to bring change in people’s lives before the general elections had failed to do so even after two years in power, in reference to the ruling PTI.

Mr Mulk said that PTI would face defeat for what he said its failed policies in the upcoming local bodies election. The people of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa have become politically matured and they could no longer be deceived by the hollow slogans, he added.

The JUI-F, ANP and PPP have formed an electoral alliance for the LG polls and have fielded joint candidates for the purpose. The JUI-F leader claimed that the three party alliance would sweep the polls.

Maulana Mohammad Naeem Haqqani, nominated candidate for general councilor from Shewa union council, said joint election campaign of the three parties was bearing fruits.
