KARACHI: Lyari Brothers FC and Frontier City won their matches in All Karachi Muslim Khatri Association Golden Jubilee Football Tournament here on Friday at the Noorani Eid Gah Ground.

In the first match, Lyari Brothers FC beat Jahangir Memorial FC by 4-2 on penalty kicks while Frontier City FC defeated Ghareeb Shah Union FC by 1-0.

Lyari Brothers FC striker M Niaz scored the fist goal in the 20th minute but Sheezan of Janagir Fc equalled the score just two minutes later by scoring the leveller. The match ended at 1-1- in stipulated time. In the penalty kicks Mohammad Waleed, Zahid, Ubaid and Amir scored one one goal each while from Jahangir Memorial FC, Mohammad Saim and Asif scored the goals.

In the second match, Young Aziz scored a narrow 1-0 win over Shabaz Mohammaden with talented striker Mohammad Ali scoring the winner in the 7th minute. From thereon, both teams fiercely contested the game but failed to make inroads.

Shahbaz Mohammaden goalie Lala Jan was outstanding under the bar and saved many goals due to his excellent fine skill and energetic game.
