Rohail shatters two records

KARACHI, Sept 27: The two-day Sindh Open and Junior swimming championship 2003 for boys started at Karachi Gymkhana.

Fourteen clubs and schools including the holders Habib Public School and runners-up Karachi Grammar School (KGS) are participating in the meet.

Rohail Tariq took the day’s honours shattering two records. First he broke the record in 25 meters backstroke in the under-10 category. He clocked 19.52 seconds as against the previous time of 19.63 seconds.

Later he established a new record in 25 meter butterfly with a time of 19.63 seconds.

4x25 meters under 12 freestyle relay Habib Public School 1.07.00 Karachi Grammar School (KGS) 1.10.42 Naval Club (NC) 1.11.92.

Out of the 13 events contested so far Habib Public School was leading with 73 points, followed by Karachi Grammar School with 27 points, Naval Club was placed third with 24 points.
