LAHORE, Sept 27: Punjab PPP president Qasim Zia, information secretary Naveed Qamar and Lahore president Misbahur Rehman sustained minor injuries in an accident on the Multan Road near Manga Mandi on Saturday.

The PPP leaders were going to Khangarh by a car (LRH-9326) when it was reportedly hit by a rashly-driven truck (QAT-5773).

The three PPP leaders and car driver sustained minor injuries. They were discharged from hospital after providing first aid.

They returned to Lahore and could not go to Khangarh.

The Manga Mandi police claimed to have arrested the truck driver identified as Qasim.
