ISLAMABAD, Sept 27: The People’s Rights Movement (PRM) has demanded of the government to expel all American troops, FBI and CIA operatives from the country.

In a press release, the PRM expressed solidarity with the millions of people worldwide who have become victims of military occupation in Iraq, Afghanistan and Palestine, as well as all other victims of oppression anywhere in the world.

“We demand the immediate withdrawal of American troops from Iraq and Afghanistan and the withdrawal of Israeli army from Palestine,” said the statement.

“We also urge Pakistan to expel all American troops, FBI and CIA operatives and halt support to the US.”

The intensification of militarisation in the world has reduced space for struggles of common people, giving governments the convenient cover to fight terrorism.

The militarisation has also been accompanied by an iron fist of neoliberal economies, imposed on Pakistan and other similar countries by the international financial institutions.

Neoliberal economic policies the world over are leading to rapid increases in poverty, resulting ethnic, religious and sectarian conflicts.
