MELBOURNE: Veteran fast bowler Peter Siddle has been dropped from Cricket Australia’s list of contracted players on the same day he was recalled to the Australia test squad for tours of the West Indies and England.

Australian selectors named a list of 19 players worthy of receiving contract payments for the 2015-16 season on Tuesday, with Siddle being replaced by fellow quicks Pat Cummins and Josh Hazlewood.

Also offered a contract was all-rounder Mitch Marsh, who effectively replaces Phillip Hughes, who died earlier this year after being struck in the head by a ball during a match.

Contract players: George Bailey, Michael Clarke, Patrick Cummins, Aaron Finch, James Faulkner, Brad Haddin, Ryan Harris, Josh Hazlewood, Mitchell Johnson, Nathan Lyon, Mitch Marsh, Shaun Marsh, Glenn Maxwell, James Pattinson, Chris Rogers, Mitchell Starc, Steve Smith, David Warner, Shane Watson.
