MITHI, Dec 22: People from different walks of life have expressed grave concern over the proposal of privatizing all educational institutions.

Talking to Dawn, Arbab Zulfiqar Ali, president GSTA Tharparkar, contended that four out of five students “are getting education at the state-run educational institutions.”

“If the government is going to privatize all its schools and colleges, it would shut the doors of education to poor pupils.”

Abdul Majid Kotrio, a retired DEO, said if the formulators of education policy were sincere in increasing the literacy ratio they should find out ways and means for improving the monitoring and management of state-run schools.
