Honours for 38 PAF officers

ISLAMABAD: Thirty-eight officers of the Pakistan Air Force have been conferred non-operational military awards by the President on the auspicious occasion of Pakistan Day.

According to a PAF press release on Sunday, Hilal-i-Imtiaz (Military) was awarded to Air Marshal Rashid Kamal and Air Vice Marshal Junaid Ahmed Siddiqui.

Sitara-i-Imtiaz (Military) was conferred on Air Commodore Tahir Abdul Majeed Ranjha, Air Cdre Syed Arshad Ali Wasti, Air Cdre Mujeebur Rehman, Air Cdre Wasim Hussain, Air Cdre Usaidur Rehman Usmani, Air Cdre Nadeem Tariq, Air Cdre Agha Khurram Khan, Air Cdre Asad Ikram, Air Cdre Mohammad Amjad Ali, Air Cdre Nasir Sher Mohammad, Air Cdre Zubair Bin Salam, Air Cdre Shaukat Zaman and Air Cdre Syed Matloob Hussain; Group Captain Mohammad Tanveer Piracha, Group Capt Syed Qaswar Abbas Naqvi, Group Capt Mohammad Babar Saeed and Group Capt Shamsul Haq.

Tamgha-i-Imtiaz (Military) was awarded to Group Capt Taimur Yousaf Khan, Group Capt Syed Ataur Rehman, Wing Commander Waseem Mushtaq, Wing Cmdr Nasim Abbas, Wing Cmdr Mohammad Asim Rana, Wing Cmdr Khalid Bin Zabih, Wing Cmdr Raja Imran Asghar, Wing Cmdr Mehr Yar Saqib Niazi, Wing Cmdr Liaquat Ali Khan, Wing Cmdr Mohammad Ali, Wing Cmdr Usman Ali Khan Burki, Wing Cmdr Farhan Ahmad, Wing Cmdr Mohammad Saeed and Wing Cmdr Mohammad Shahbaz Ashraf.

Sitara-i-Basalat was conferred on the late Wing Cmdr Khurram Samad while Tamgha-i-Basalat to Squadron Leader Tahir Mahmood Anjum, the late Squadron Leader Umair Elahi, Squadron Leader Mohammad Junaid Maqbool Malik and the late Squadron Leader Tanweer Ahmed.
