Rashid’s future in doubt

KARACHI, Sept 23: Pakistani Cricket Board (PCB) boss on Tuesday fuelled ongoing media speculation that Rashid Latif was likely to be replaced as captain of the national team to play against South Africa.

Tauqir Zia said Rashid had to show more responsibility and abide by discipline. “Rashid is holding a responsible position and fair play from him is necessary,” Zia told reporters.

“He has to show more responsible behaviour. He has been giving statements to the media and wrote directly to the ICC (International Cricket Council) and this is a violation of our code of conduct,” the PCB chairman said.—AFP
