BADIN: A man was killed and about a dozen others were injured in a group clash during a wedding ceremony in Darya Khan Leghari village near Pangrio town on Thursday.

Members of the Leghari and Junejo clans embroiled in a land dispute were among the guests attending the ceremony. An altercation took place between the rival sides and some of the angry people brought in axes, clubs and iron bars to attack each other.

The group fighting left at least 13 people injured and one of them, Mumtaz Ali Leghari, 34, later died during treatment at the Hyderabad Civil Hospital.

The other injured victims, mostly members of the Leghari clan, were admitted to the Pangrio rural health centre.
