KUALA LUMPUR: Pakistan’s penalty corner striker Soail Abbas has become the highest scorer with his tally of 20 goals in the ongoing Asia Cup hockey tournamet.

Sohail and compatriot Hassan Sardar were tied with 16 goals each before this tournament.

Sohail scored twice against Bangladesh on Sunday and struck as many times against another minnows China on Monday to take his tally to 20 goals.

Hassan was a crafty centre forward and played in the first two editions of the tournament while Sohail, a fullback, has got almost all his goals through penalty corner flicks or from the penalty spot now making his third consecutive appearance in Asia Cup.
