Why is the government joking with the public? When we all know that nothing can be done with laal masjid people then why giving hope to awam. We all know about abdulaziz also and nobody has daredd touch him. Same will happen with this maulvi also.

So the government created a law which it had no intention to implement. Obviously it was done for a show by Punjab government (Showbaz Sharif). We know that it is only the army which is actually pursuing terrorists. Punjab and KPK governments will forever remain reluctant to fight Pakistan's enemies.

@Waqar Jan ...the law is not about suppressing freedom of speech rather it is about not allowing anyone to break sound barriers as and when they please with total disregard to communities around them. And yes, it is also about putting checks on hate speech, Believe it or not, all civilised societies do the same.

It was only a few days back that the interior minister had announced in the USA that mulla Azizi has submitted a written apology to the police. The very next day his junior issued a denial to the media that no such apology was issued. This is where our law enforcement boss stands. What do we expect from junior police officers ?

lal masjid is powerful than nawaz and shahbaz. They only ask a simple question, arrest the perpetrators of lahore massacre.

Government of Nawaz Sharif and interior minister in particular all cowards in dealing with clerics who are extremists and terrorists sympahisers. How can they arrest any mulla from Lal Masjid or Peeli Masjid at all - laws or no laws.

I recall in the 1960s someone I knew from a well-known Muslim family (he is now dead, so rest easy any religious zealots wanting retribution) grabbing the .303 from the sentry at the front gate of his parents' compound in Karachi and shooting out the loudspeaker in the minaret of the nearby mosque after the maulvi refused to heed entreaties and warnings from local residents and authorities for waking everyone up at 4am. Naturally, I do not recommend taking the law into one's own hands .... certainly not over such a matter in today's Pakistan where a fitting legal charge of discharging a firearm in a public place would be subsumed by the frenzied religious blowback of a mob who would tear the person limb from limb and then set fire to the corpse.
