KARACHI, Sept 22: Provincial Chief Secretary Dr Mutawakkil Qazi, presiding over a meeting here on Monday, directed the concerned authorities to ensure timely completion of the projects launched under the Khushhal Pakistan Programme (KPP).

The ACS (development), Ghulam Sarwar Khero, ACS (local government), Mohammad Saleem Khan, and Finance Secretary, Malik Israr Hussain, were present at the meeting.

The meeting was informed that in the first, second and third phases of the programme, 380, 699 and 2,535 schemes respectively had been undertaken and out of them 3,190 had been completed. Provincial and district committees monitored the work which was completed within the stipulated time.

The meeting also reviewed the development schemes pertaining to Jacobabad district and took decisions with regard to the problems being faced in the progress on some of them.

The meeting was told that accounts of the KPP-1 schemes had already been audited while those of others were being audited.—PPI
