LAHORE: All the boards of intermediate and secondary education in Punjab are simultaneously holding the secondary school (annual) examination for 2015 from March 2.

The decision was taken at a Punjab Boards Committee of Chairmen (PBCC) meeting at the Lahore board on Thursday. The meeting was chaired by Education Minister Rana Mashhood and Higher Education Secretary Muhammad Aslam Kamboh.

The meeting examined exams’ computerisation, automation and security arrangements and decided that a security committee should be constituted in all boards in the province.

The committee will be required to monitor all centres within its jurisdiction and submit a comprehensive report on a daily basis.

The meeting resolved that the boards as well as law-enforcement agencies would provide every logistic support to resident inspectors as and when required.
