TAXILA: The vehicle utilised in Peshawar imambargah attack was stolen from Wah police area in April 2013, sources said on Monday.
The terrorist attack on February 13 claimed 23 lives.
The sources said the car was owned by a businessman hailing from Sialkot and currently residing in Wah Cantt and he purchased it from Azad Kashmir.
Initially, the police was reluctant to register a car theft case but it had to register on the court order.
Meanwhile, buglers broke into two different shops in Taxila police area and took away valuables worth millions of rupees.
They took away mobile phones, cash and other valuables from the shop of Danish Yaseen in Jameelabad area.
In second incident, they made off with cash and other valuables from a grocery shop.
