KARACHI, Sept 20: Two women were killed at different places in the metropolis on Saturday.

A mother of four was killed in PIB Colony by her brother-in- law on suspicion of having illicit relations with a man.

The alleged killer, identified as Asad, resident of Pir Bokhari Colony, surrendered himself to the police station. He told the police that he had been listening to taunting remarks against his brother’s wife, Farzana, 35.

Asad informed the police that he was perturbed and in result of frustration, he attacked Farzana with an axe. Later, he admitted that he shot her dead. Her body was shifted to a hospital for autopsy and later handed over to her husband for burial.

Another woman was strangled in her house in Gulbahar by her tenant. Police said Farhana asked for monthly rent from her tenant, Shahid Ilyas. His refusal led to exchanging of hot words between the two, which provoked Shahid, who strangled her and fled. Her husband lodged an FIR against Shahid.
