KARACHI: Acting governor takes oath

KARACHI, Sept 19: Speaker of the Sindh Assembly Syed Muzaffar Hussain Shah on Friday took oath as the Acting Governor of Sindh.

Governor Dr Ishratul Ibad has proceeded to London on a private visit.

Mr Shah was administered the oath by Chief Justice of Sindh High Court Syed Saeed Ashhad at a ceremony held in the Darbar Hall of Governor House. Chief Minister Ali Mohammad Mahar was also present on the occasion.

The ceremony was attended, among others, by deputy speaker of the assembly, provincial ministers, advisers to the CM, judges of the SHC, chief secretary, additional chief secretaries, secretaries of administrative departments, Nazim of Karachi, DCO of Karachi, IG Sindh and representatives of the armed forces. — APP
