PAF chief calls on Bahrain’s king

MANAMA: Chief of the Air Staff Air Chief Marshal Tahir Rafique Butt meets Bahrain’s King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa at Safriya Palace on Tuesday.—Online

ISLAMABAD: Chief of the Air Staff Air Chief Marshal Tahir Rafique Butt called on Bahrain’s King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa at Safriya Palace in Manama on Tuesday.

Both the dignitaries underlined the importance of exchanging such visits and maintaining consultation and coordination to promote cordial ties between the two countries.

Regional and international issues of common concern were discussed at length, said a press release issued here by the air force.

The king welcomed the air chief and conveyed his greetings to the president and prime minister, as well as his best wishes for the progress and prosperity of Pakistani people.

He expressed his satisfaction on the level of brotherly relations and bilateral cooperation in various fields.

He also expressed Bahrain’s keenness to boost cooperation with Pakistan in the field of defence in general and air force in particular.

The chief of the air staff is on a visit to the country on the invitation of the Royal Bahrain Air Force.
