LAHORE: District presidents of the Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI), Punjab, have decided to develop a unanimous opinion to convince the party leadership on certain issues.

The district presidents on Monday held a consultative meeting at PTI Lahore President Abdul Aleem Khan’s office and also decided to hold the next meeting with party’s secretary-general Jehangir Tareen and Punjab President Ejaz Chaudhry on Jan 29 to implement the recommendations of the meeting.

They recommended that representation must be given to district presidents and similarly their recommendations must be kept considered when certain political persons from their districts join the party.

They decided to step up political campaign on the shortage of electricity, gas and petrol.

Those present at the meeting were Chaudhry Ilyas from Gujrat, Falak Shair Ranjha from Mandi Bahauddin, Nadim Nisar from Narowal, Abdul Aleem Khan from Lahore, Kanwar Saeed from Sheikhupura, Chaudhry Shahnawaz from Sialkot, Dr Salahuddin from Mianwali, Mian Farzand Ali Gohar from Bahawalpur, Zahoor Husain Qureshi from Khanewal, Rana Raheel Ahmed from Rahim Yar Khan, Zahid Husain from Jhang and Mian Mohammad Amjad Joya from Pakpattan.

The participants also recommended that party wings must work under the district leadership so that party decorum could be maintained.
