Just when we thought film/TV actor Babar Ali will stick to his morning show 'Morning with Babar Ali' on Apna channel, it appears that the actor will be returning soon in an upcoming film Meri Jaan alongside actor Hiba Ali.

Being dubbed a “melodious tale of love”, Meri Jaan is directed by debut filmmaker Majid Khan and produced by Huma Sheikh.

Babar Ali who was previously seen in film Bhai Log and drama Ek Nazar Meri Taraf, has many Lollywood films to his credit like Ye Dil Aap Ka Hua, Ghar Kab Aao Gay and Khoye Hue Ho Tum Kahan.

Meri Jaan will be a romantic flick starring veteran actors including Javed Sheikh, Sangeeta and Saba Hameed. The date of release, however, is not yet stated.

Javed Sheikh who will soon be appearing in Hulla Gulla will be seen in a supporting role along with Saba Hameed, who was last seen in Sabiha Sumar’s Good Morning Karachi.

From the trailer released on Facebook, Meri Jaan seems to be more of a TV drama than a film. However, expectations for score and soundtrack are high as famous artistes like Shafqat Amanat Ali and Javed Bashir will be lending their vocals for the film.

Meri Jaan will introduce new faces from the industry like Syed Arez Ahmed, Saima Baloch, Quaid Ahmed, Minaab Fatima and Waqar Ali Godhra.
