GUJAR KHAN: The mother of two murdered men has complained of non-cooperation by the police in arresting the suspected killers.

Taj Begum, the widowed mother of Ehsan and Najeeb, told Dawn that her sons were killed by their opponents in the village of Guliana last week.

Their bullet-riddled bodies were recovered from a dam.

She said after the registration of an FIR the police took no action for the arrest of the suspected killers.

She said she visited the office of the city police officer (CPO) Rawalpindi but after this the station house officer (SHO) of Gujar Khan instead of arresting the suspects told her to “get the investigation of the case changed to some other police station.”

She called upon the chief minister Punjab and the inspector general of the police to provide her justice and order the arrest of the killers. Despite repeated attempts, the SHO Gujar Khan could not be contacted for comments on the matter.
