Academy award winner Nicolas Cage will be playing the role of Osama bin Laden's hunter Gary Faulker in an upcoming satirical movie Army of One, based loosely on on the true story of Faulkner, an ordinary US construction worker who became determined to pursue the terrorist leader, reported The Independent.
Directed by Larry Charles, famous for comedies like Borat, Bruno and The Dictator, Army of One will portray Faulkner's misadventures as told by journalist Chris Heath who published his story in 2010 GQ magazine article.
The article talked about Faulkner's missions to Pakistan in search of Osama bin Laden. Faulkner, later appeared on the David Letterman talk show that same year to discuss his determination to pursue the terrorist leader and belief that he had been chosen by God for the mission.

According to The Guardian, upon his return from his 11th mission to Pakistan, Faulkner had told reporters at the US airport:
“What this is about is the American people and the world. We can’t let people like this scare us. We don’t get scared by people like this. We scare them. And that’s what this is about.”
Charles, who is also a former staff writer for long-running TV sitcom Seinfeld has signed a deal with Hollywood super producers Bob and Harvey Weinstein to release the movie under their new TWC-Dimension banner.
