New dates for Sri Lankan tournament

COLOMBO, Sept 16: The Emerging Team Trophy limited-overs cricket series between Sri Lanka, Pakistan and India has been delayed by a week so organizers can add more venues, Sri Lanka Cricket said on Tuesday.

The tournament, originally scheduled to start Sunday, will now be staged from Sept 27.

The recently re-named Sri Lanka Cricket planned to spend an extra week upgrading existing and new facilities before the Emerging Team Trophy, which will feature teams full of budding and prospective international players.

Revised schedule:

Sept. 27 - Sri Lanka vs. Pakistan.

Sept. 28 - Sri Lanka vs. India.

Sept. 29 - Pakistan vs. India.

Oct. 1 - Pakistan vs. India.

Oct. 2 - Sri Lanka vs. Pakistan.

Oct. 3 - Sri Lanka vs. India.

Oct. 5 - Final.—APP
