RIYADH: Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif met King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz here on Thursday and enquired after his health. He prayed for King Abdullah’s good health, recovery and long life.

The prime minister said that being the custodian of the holy mosques the Saudi leader had a special place in the heart of every Pakistani who prayed for his speedy recovery and long life.

He remained with the king for some time and later left for Jeddah.

Prime Minister Sharif also met Saudi Crown Prince Salman bin Abdulaziz and discussed with him ways of enhancing bilateral relations in various fields. The meeting took place at Al-Yamamah Palace.

Prince Salman, who is also Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Defence, and Mr Sharif also exchanged views on regional and international developments.

The prime minister was accompanied by his Special Assistant on Foreign Affairs Tariq Fatemi and Amba­ssador to Saudi Arabia Man­zour Al-Haq. The Saudi side at the meeting included Deputy Crown Prince and Second Deputy Prime Min­ister Muqrin bin Abdulaziz, Chief of General Intelligence Prince Khalid bin Bandar bin Abdulaziz, Minister for National Guard Prince Miteb bin Abdullah bin Abdulaziz, Governor of Riyadh Region Prince Turki bin Abdullah bin Abdulaziz, Minister of State and Chief of the Crown Prince’s Court and Special Adviser Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz and Minister of State Dr Musaed bin Mohammed Al-Aiban.

Prime Minister Sharif will perform Umra and visit Masjid-i-Nabvi (PBUH) in Madina.
