Swat valley jolted by quake measuring 4.6

SWAT: An earthquake of magnitude 4.6 was reported in Swat and its adjoining areas on Thursday causing fear and panic among residents.

People left their houses and workplaces and headed out for open spaces fearing a strong earthquake. There was no loss of life or property reported after the tremors.

According to the Met Office in Islamabad, the epicenter of the earthquake was located near Tajikistan.

The epicenter of the earthquake was located 95km west of Murghab, Tajikistan at a depth of 129 km, according to the USGS website.
