HYDERABAD, Sept 15: HDA director-general Ali Ahmed Lund has directed heads of various departments to ensure that no funds were transferred from one department to another.

He was presiding over a meeting of heads of departments in his office here on Monday. He said development funds should be spent only on development works and should not be used for any other purpose.

He directed the managing director WASA to clear liabilities of his department by accelerating the pace of recovery. He said the WASA should make it a point to pay salaries of employees and pensions of retired employees on time and clear outstanding dues of contractors.

He said a comprehensive report should be prepared in respect of outstanding dues against residential colonies and societies.

SU meeting: The governor and chancellor of universities of Sindh, Dr Ishratul Ibad, will preside over a meeting of the Sindh University senate scheduled for Oct 1, said a handout.

He will also preside over the 17th meeting of the Sindh Agriculture University senate on Oct 8.
