CHITRAL, Dec 21: Lawari Road has been opened for heavy vehicles. It had been closed for traffic after last Tuesday’s snowfall.

A good number of passengers had been stranded at Chitral who had come to their homes to celebrate Eid.

The PIA flights between Peshawar and Chitral had to be cancelled for the fourth consecutive day due to the inclement weather.

Meanwhile, the roads of the distant valleys of the district are partially open for vehicular traffic as snow has not been cleared.

The roads Terich, Melp, Oveer, Golen and Khot valleys are yet to be opened for traffic.
