KOHAT: District police officer Saleem Marwat has asked the office-bearers of All Private Schools Association to enhance security arrangements of their institutions.

He was speaking at a press conference after inspecting security arrangements at the educational institutions here on Saturday. H said that in the wake of attack on the Army Public School, Peshawar, and terror threats to other schools the educational institutions had been asked to make their own security arrangements. He, however, assured them that the police would extend help in issuance of arms licences to the watchmen.

Mr Marwat directed that proper record of visitors and vehicles entering the educational institutions should be maintained. He said that he had issued orders that the students and teachers should not leave the school building at one time after closure to avoid rush of vehicles. Similarly, he said that the female staff of government institutions should leave the school soon after taking classes and they should not wait till the closing hour.
