RAWALPINDI: A Pakistani expatriate in the US claimed on Wednesday that anonymous callers were threatening him that they would kidnap his children in Pakistan.

Sagheer Akhtar is visiting his family who lives in Dhoke Syedan.

Police investigating officer ASI Aslam Pervez said a case had been registered with the police on the complaint of Sagheer Akhtar and investigation had been launched.

Replying to a question he said though the callers location was in Afghanistan, the police were investigating on different lines to ascertain the real circumstances. The IO said he would record the complainant statement in detail.
