KARACHI: Opener Behram Khan slammed a scintillating century to steer K-Electric into the semi-finals of the 19th Hinopak Trophy KCCA Inter-departmental Cricket League with a crushing eight-wicket victory over Soni Associates at the KCCA Stadium here the other day.

Batting first in the second quarter-final, Soni Associates were restricted to 191 all out in the 44th over. Ashraf Hussain (44 with three boundaries) and Ahmed Hussain (42, three fours and a brace of sixes) were the main run-getters.

Slow left-armers Fawad Khan and Rizwan Khan grabbed two wickets apiece for 21 and 27 runs, respectively.

K-Electric made light work of their target which they reached in only 27 overs. Behram led the way by striking an even 100 from 84 balls with 11 boundaries.

Fellow opener Majid Khan also batted well to hit eight fours and four sixes in an unbeaten 75 off only 48 deliveries.
