Bollywood megastar Aamir Khan attributed the 'transformation' he has gone through in recent years, from being a reserved individual to a much more open one, to his wife and filmmaker, Kiran Rao.

"Your observation is correct...transformation has happened. I feel it is because of Kiran ji. Her influence on me is very bright. Her energy is bright. So, a change has come in me as well," Khan told Hindustan Times at a press conference for his upcoming film, PK.

Talking about the poster released for the film in which he posed nude with a boombox, the actor said: "Many people liked it. Some people felt that clothes were not worn. It is a natural reaction. But we have to be truthful with the story. When we show the first poster, it is important that it captures the film, its essence".

The Dhoom 3 star went on to say that PK is a universal film that can be watched by the masses.

"It is not a satire. It's a drama. The vehicle of narration is humour," he shared.

When asked about his role in the film, the 49-year-old actor said his character is "innocent and a bit strange", who speaks Bhojpuri.

PK stars Aamir Khan in the title role, with Sanjay Dutt, Anushka Sharma, Sushant Singh Rajput, Boman Irani and Saurabh Shukla in supporting roles.

The movie is slated to release worldwide on December 19.
