LARKANA: A shutterdown was observed in Warah town on Friday in protest against the killing of a Jeay Sindh Qaumi Mahaz (JSQM) activist, Waheed Lashari, who was found shot dead in Karachi a day earlier.

The body was brought to the town on Friday evening for burial by JSQM chairman Sannan Qureshi and other senior leaders. The funeral would take place on Saturday, party sources said.

JSQM leaders speaking at a protest demonstration at the Jinnahbagh gate earlier in the day blamed the alleged ‘custodial death’ on intelligence agencies, saying that Mr Lashari had been picked up by them in Qambar town 28 days ago while he along with his family members was travelling in a car.
