NAUSHARO FEROZE: Three armed men, believed to be criminals, shot dead a watchman in Dehat Bazaar, where he was performing his duty in the early hours of Wednesday.

According to the Khan Wahan police, Ikhtiar Kalhoro, 25, was shot dead when he challenged the suspects, who were apparently trying to break into one of the closed shops in the bazaar a little before sunrise.

After killing the watchmen, the suspects fled, the police said.

The body was taken to the Kandiaro Taulka Hospital for a post-mortem examination and then sent to the victim’s native village.
