20 militants killed during airstrikes in North Waziristan

PESHAWAR: At least 20 militants were killed and eight others were injured on Tuesday in air strikes in North Waziristan.

According to ISPR, the airstrikes were carried out in the Dattakhel area of North Waziristan Agency.

The latest airstrikes come as military operation Zarb-i-Azb is under way in the tribal region.

The operation was initiated on June 15 following a brazen militant attack on Karachi's international airport and failure of peace talks between the government and Tehreek-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) negotiators.

The offensive has driven out over 800,000 residents from North Waziristan and the army says it has cleared 90 per cent of the tribal region

Respect to the Pakistan Army for this offensive. They honestly seem determined to wipe out militants from the country, and rightly so, as militants have been the biggest problem for Pakistan over the past decade or so. They are causing a hinderance to tourism, trade, and so many other sectors that could contribute to the economy. Once dealt with, we can focus on other problems such as lack of education, corruption, VIP culture/society, and ridiculous politics and elections. We can only progress as a nation if such issues are given due importance.

Instead of inviting Kashmiri separatist for talks, NS & Army should call people of Waziristan and build some trust with them. Killing them is no solution- It will just increase their frustration

that jet in the picture is not a Pakistan Airforce Plane. PAF doesnt operate any double engine aircraft. please verify sources before publishing

Surprising, always militants killed with Pakistani Airforce bombing and always civilians killed with American drone bombing. This proves Americans are either incapable or intentionally targeted civilians.

The action against the Militants by the Armed forces has definitely reduced suicide bombing and other terror activities, their infrastructure seems to have been distrupted, As always the Armed Forces are doing an Honest Job.
