Remand extended

GUJRANWALA, Sept 9: A local court on Tuesday extended physical remand of city Naib Nazim Ehsanullah Chaudhry involved in a murder case up to Sept 13.

Ehsanullah was arrested by Baghbanpura police a week ago in a murder case. The court remanded him in police custody for four days which expired on Monday.

Police produced him in the court on Tuesday handcuffed and requested for six days’ more remand on the plea that they have to arrest the remaining accused involved in murder case besides recovery of illicit arms. However, the court granted four days’ remand. — Correspondent
