ISLAMABAD: The managing director of Inter-State Gas Systems of Pakistan, Mobin Saulat, has been appointed chairman Board of Directors of Tapi Pipeline Company Limited (TPCL).

The Turkmenistan-Afghanistan-Pakistan-India (Tapi) is also known as the Trans-Afghanistan natural gas pipeline project.

Mr Saulat’s appointment was decided in a meeting of the board held in Ashgabat.

Currently, Mr Saulat is steering the tender process of the fast-track LNG terminal project. The TPCL would build, own and operate the 1,800km Tapi gas project.
