Seven killed as minibus hits tree

FAISALABAD, Sept 7: Seven passenger of a minibus were killed and 11 others sustained multiple injuries when it ran into a tree on the Samundri-Pirmahal Road, about 53kms from here, on Sunday.

According to reports reaching here, the minibus (FS-6799), on its way to Pirmahal from Faisalabad, went out of control of the driver near village Kotan in the limits of Sadar Police Station, Samundri.

Five passengers died on the spot while two expired in the Samundari THQ hospital. Villagers and passengers of other vehicles shifted the dead and the wounded to Samundri.

The dead were identified as Asif of Rajana, Shakeel of Faisalabad, Safia Bibi of Toba Tek Singh, Zahida Parveen of Chak 142-GB, Nazar Masih, Saleem Masih and minor girl Sumbal.

The injured were stated to be in stable conditions.
