Matric results

BAHAWALPUR, Sept 6: The Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education, Bahawalpur, on Saturday announ-ced the results of matric supplementary examinations, 2003.

At least 9,655 candidates appeared in the examination out of whom 4,049 were declared successful, showing a pass percentage of 41.93.

RAIN: The city and its suburban areas received a light rain on Saturday.

Although the light shower provided some relief to people from sultry weather, yet it would prove harmful for crops.

The agriculture experts were of the opinion that if rains continued, the cotton crop would affect adversely.
