Is there really anything our multi-talented star Ali Zafar cannot do?

Attending the most watched TV show in India, Kaun Banega Crorepati on Wednesday night with his Kill Dil team (Parineeti Chopra, Ranveer Singh and the veteran Govinda), Ali Zafar impressed host and veteran Amitabh Bachchan when he showed Big-B a sketch he had made of the legendary actor at the age of 13.

Bachchan asked Ali to recreate a sketch of him live on the show and the result left him spellbound. The audience and Mr Bacchan were amazed at his talent and gave Ali a hearty round of applause.

The legendary Bollywood actor hugged the singer, who said it was a dream come true for him.

"I have no words for the respect and warmth I received from the crowd and especially Mr Bachchan," said an emotional Ali. "I have grown up watching his films, singing songs of his films and used to sketch him when I was a child. I have been his fan all my life, but after seeing his energy and radiant personality, I have become his greatest fan. The way he hugged me thrice after hearing me sing and seeing the sketch was so heartwarming."

A Yash Raj Films production, Kill Dil is directed by Shaad Ali and is slated to release on November 14.

Ali Zafar recently tweeted that Pakistani actors have no scope in their own country, the authorities need to wake up, as many of them died in poverty.

Not a big fan of Zafar's acting. But appreciate the decency and dignity with which he conducts himself. Love begets love and respect begets respect. When he shows respec fro Amitabh, why would it not be reciprocated?

I have heard Ali and Fawad's interview , I appreciate the way they carry themself. Ali have worked under big banner which speaks about itself. The voice of Fawad is very very great . If These two continue this way they will surely go long long way.

Wow, impressive.He is definitely very talented also admire his toughness that half of Pakistan hates him for working in India and Half of India ( may be smaller than that) , hate him for being Pakistani. Not easy to balance that out. Respect.

I as an Indian I feel proud to be a fan of such a good looking & humble actor Ali Zafar,I love to listen his songs,I love to watch is movies,his way of speaking is too awesome & Big B a legend in one word,I'm too much younger to appreciate his talent,Ali Zafar sahab is just mindblowing awesome peson,I'll say Zafar Sahab,Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan sahab,Rahat Fateh Ali Khan sahab,Fawad Ali,Sara Loren,Wasim Akram,etc.....are ambassador of peace between two partitioned nation,I'll quote Ali Zafar as South Asian,instead of calling him a Pakistani,because he's indeed a global citizen now .....

@Ravi Dallas TX What is the basis for assuming that half of India hates him for being Pakistani? Except for some Shiv Sena blokes , I have not heard of any widespread ostility to Pakistani artistes. I mean producers would not hire someone that was hated by a large part of potential audience. @Sana - Wasting his time - how? He himself has tweeted that as an actor he has no scope in Pakistan. So what would you rather have him do with his time?

@Sana Yes Doing some good work is wasting Time. He should stay in Pakistan and support the Terrorism, be the part of Jihad, participate in dharna. or should sit idol at home seeing others doing all these. That would be good, isnt it? Just Like what you are doing there.

for those who are being sceptical about his career and saying that he is wasting his talent in India, I only have to say that whenever he returns to Pakistan he will be the richest actor in Pakistan. He has started working for big production houses now and soon he will be dealing in Crores (if not already done)....So pls keep your hatred with you and let hard work prevail!!!

I usually spend most of my time on Dawn criticizing Pakistani government and state. But I always like good Pakistani people. And Ali Zafar, by his decency, humility, and talent, stands out among them. Such people create good image for their country. I hate it when they are criticized at home. Why has Pakistanis got the tendency to find faults?
