LAHORE: An Urdu Bazaar trader was shot dead allegedly by robbers late on Saturday night.

Initial reports said Hammad was on way to home when two motorcyclists held him up at gunpoint. On resistance, the suspects opened fire and fled the scene.

Police said Hammad sustained four bullet injuries and was rushed to Mayo Hospital where doctors pronounced him dead.

Following the incident, traders closed their shops and gathered at the city morgue. No case was registered till the filing of this report.
