LARKANA, Sept 5: At least 850 employees of the taluka municipal administration have not been paid their salary as the Larkana taluka council has not received its octroi tax share.

The Nazim said he was told to submit bills for payment which was impossible as the taluka administration always utilized the octroi share for salaries.

He said the EDO (finance) had no knowledge of any letter from the DCO, asking the treasury office to seize the amount.

He said indolence on the part of the local treasury office was creating restlessness among the TMA employees as they had not been paid for a month.
