Carjackers’ gang busted

DERA ISMAIL KHAN, Dec 20: Paharpur police have arrested a gang of car lifters and recovered a car.

SHO Abdul Hai Khan, during checking at Dhakki on Dera-Chasma road, had seized a Suzuki car for having fake documents. Car registration mark LOH-8434, its engine and chassis numbers had also been tampered with.

Car driver Zulfiqar Ahmad son of Aziz, resident of Bhakkar, told the police during interrogation that the vehicle had been lifted from Sind and was being shifted to Punjab.

He disclosed the names of Muhammad Iqbal son of Muhammad Sher of Kundian, Hamidullah son of Abdullah resident of Chunda and Khan son of Muhammad resident of Pezu as his partners.

Police arrested all the four accused.—Correspondent
