LARKANA, Sept 4: Two people, Faiz Mohammad alias Faizu Unnar and Nazim Abro, were killed and seven others were injured in an armed clash between two rival groups of Abro tribesmen late Wednesday night.
The relatives of the victims accused their rival group, led by Peeru Abro, of attacking them in the outskirts of Simhai Unnar, near the Baqapur village.
The recent attack and the killing of a member of the Unnar tribe may further escalate the on-going feud between the two groups of Abro tribesmen as the locals have termed the killing of Faizu Unnar as a gory twist to an already blood-spattered feud.
However, both the rival groups were hiding the identity of the injured.
Sources said that the heads of both the groups, Peeru Abro and Sharfoo Abro, had been injured.
Wednesday’s incident also exposed the claim of the Larkana police that the Baqapur village and Khaliq Colony, Larkana, were secure with the arrest of 20 tribesmen and the seizing of weapons.
The Taluka police station registered an FIR against Peeral Abro, Ali Dino, Waris, Yaseen, Ariz Mohammed, Mumtaz and Noor Mohammed, who remain absconding.
