ISLAMABAD, Sept 4: The convener of the organizational committee of the Pakistan Muslim League (Quaid-i-Azam), Sindh chapter, Senator Nisar A. Memon, has sought reactivation of the party secretariat so that the ministers and advisers would hear the workers’ grievances.

Talking to Dawn here, he said he had invited Sindh Chief Minister Ali Mohammed Mahar to visit the party secretariat and sought his assent to a proposal that the three party ministers and two advisers should sit there to listen to the complaints of the workers.

“It was the for the first time in the last 10 months that the chief minister visited the secretariat,” he said.

Asked when fresh party elections would be held, Mr Memon said: “Right now, we are working on creating greater cohesion and coordination between party workers and the provincial government, the election stage will come later”.

He said he had been given three months to run the party affairs.

APP adds: Talking to newsmen after his return to Karachi on Wednesday, Mr Memon said PML-Q President Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain would soon visit Sindh.

“He has accepted the invitation of the organizing committee,” the senator said.

In Islamabad, he informed the party chief about the progress made by the organizing committee.

Senator Memon said he briefed Mr Hussain about the commitment made by the chief minister for resolving problems of PML-Q workers and his visit to the Muslim League House for attending a meeting of the party’s parliamentarians.
