Published December 21, 2001

HARIPUR Dec 20: The administration has debarred private Suzuki pick-ups operating on T&T colony route from entering the colony.

This ban was put after the complaints of overcharging and misbehaving with the women commuters here the other day.

According to official sources the administration had been receiving complaints from the people about overcharging and misbehaving with the commuters by the drivers of private transport services.

The source said, though the Tehsil administration had revised down the fares to Rs3 from Rs4 on all the intra-city routes, the drivers refused to reduce the charges.
