PESHAWAR: Gemstone industry

PESHAWAR, Sept 3: Minister for Industries and Mineral Development Zafar Azam has directed officials of mineral department to take concrete steps for the promotion of gemstone trade, so that this important industrial sector could play its due role in the betterment of economy.

This he said while presiding over a meeting of mineral department here on Tuesday.

Secretary of industries Arbab Shah Rukh Khan, Director of the mineral department Mohammad Abid and gemstones traders attended the meeting.

The minister said: “If we are really sincere in the promotion of economy, we will have to make consolidated efforts in this regard.”—Bureau
